Jerel Glenn Killed in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Collision on 67th Avenue [Phoenix, AZ]
8-Year-Old Boy Fatally Struck in Deadly Pedestrian Accident near Thomas Road
PHOENIX, AZ (February 20, 2023) – Saturday night, Jerel Glenn was killed in a hit-and-run collision on 67th Avenue.
Officers were dispatched to the scene just after 5:00 p.m., near Thomas Road on February 11th.
Per reports, the driver of a truck was heading north on 67th Avenue and struck Glenn. Investigators say the young boy stepped off the sidewalk and directly into the street when the collision occurred.
Upon impact, the truck driver continued driving on 67th Avenue without rendering aid or contacting authorities.
Medical personnel arrived and transported 8-year-old Glenn to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Following preliminary duties, officers described the truck as a 4-door lifted maroon or faded red truck. Anyone with information is urged to contact local authorities as soon as possible.
