Miguel Hernandez Valadez Hit and Killed While Changing Tire near Palmdale Road

VICTORVILLE, CA (February 9, 2023) – Monday night, Miguel Hernandez Valadez was fatally struck while changing a tire on the 15 Freeway. 

The incident happened on February 6th, at around 7:15 p.m., just north of the Palmdale Road off-ramp.

According to reports, Valadez was outside of his white GMC 2500HD truck, changing a tire, when a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze struck him.

Emergency crews from San Bernardino County Fire arrived to the site of the crash shortly after. There, they found Valadez underneath the Cruze. After an initial assessment, medics pronounced 38-year-old Miguel Hernandez Valadez, of Long Beach, dead at the scene.

Following the collision, police arrested the driver of the Cruze, 46-year-old Jeniffer Renae Morgan, for suspected DUI.

Meanwhile, the family of Miguel Hernandez Valadez has created a GoFundMe page to support the costs of his funeral.
