Train-Vehicle Crash near California Pacific Road and Elmira Road Left One Dead
SOLANO COUNTY, CA (February 3, 2023) – Thursday at noon, a train-vehicle crash near California Pacific Road claimed the life of one person.
The incident happened on January 19th, just before 12:30 p.m., involving a vehicle and an Amtrak train near Vacaville.
According to reports, a vehicle was on the train tracks, in the path of an oncoming Amtrak train. For reasons currently unknown the vehicle did not move and the train collided with the vehicle. The impact of the collision left the occupant of the vehicle with serious injuries.
First responders to the site of the crash declared the victim dead at the scene.
The identity of the deceased was not yet released and further investigation is still ongoing.
