Solo-Vehicle Accident near Edison Road Left 20-Year-Old Passenger Dead and 3 Injured

ARVIN, CA (January 18, 2023) – Saturday evening, Alondra Alvarez was killed in a rollover accident on Herring Road. 

The incident occurred around 8:46 p.m., just west of Edison Road in Arvin. 

According to reports, 22-year-old Romieo Narvaez, in a 2006 Infiniti, lost control and crossed the eastbound lane into a dirt road south of Herring Road. As it careened, the Infiniti flipped over several times, ejecting four passengers in the process.

First responders arrived and pronounced 20-year-old Alvarez, of Bakersfield, dead at the scene. Meanwhile, medics treated the three other victims for moderate to minor injuries.

Investigators report that no one in the vehicle was wearing proper restraints.
