Male Cyclist Pronounced Dead after Fatal Crash near Golden State Boulevard

FRESNO, CA (January 16, 2023) – Late Wednesday night, one man was fatally struck in a bicycle collision on Swift Avenue.

The incident occurred around 11:00 p.m., near Golden State Boulevard on January 11th.

At this time, the events leading up to the crash remain unclear. However, reports indicate that the driver of a vehicle struck a northbound bicyclist on Golden State Boulevard.

Despite life-saving efforts, medical personnel later pronounced the male cyclist dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released his identity.

Upon impact, the driver left the scene before later returning to the scene after finding damage to his vehicle. Following preliminary duties, officers determined that impairment did not play a factor.

An active investigation to determine more information about the fatal bicycle collision on Swift Avenue is still currently underway.
