Solo-Car Accident on Panoche Road Kills 22-Year-Old Woman
MENDOTA, CA (January 16, 2023) – Thursday evening, a rollover accident on San Benito Avenue claimed the life of Yi Yan.
The collision happened at around 3:30 p.m., near San Benito Avenue and Panoche Road.
According to reports, a 20-year-old driver was speeding and lost control of the vehicle. The car then went off the roadway and ejected a passenger, Yan.
Emergency crews arrived and pronounced, 22-year-old Yi Yan dead at the scene. Officials said Yan was an international student from China at UC Davis.
Meanwhile, paramedics transported four other passengers to a local hospital for treatment of varying injuries.
At this time, Mendota Officials continue investigating the Panoche Road rollover crash.
