67-Year-Old Woman Fatally Struck in Semi-Truck Crash on Highway 86
OASIS, CA (January 19, 2023) – Monday afternoon, 67-year-old Lucila Lopes-Romero was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Johnson Street.
The incident happened around 2:00 p.m., at the intersection of Highway 86 and Johnson Street on December 26th.
According to Oasis Police, a semi-truck and another vehicle crashed into each other for reasons currently unknown. Furthermore, at least four people sustained injuries with two in critical condition, one with moderate injuries, and one with minor injuries.
Meanwhile, both directions of the roadway were blocked to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties, but have since been reopened.
One individual, later identified as 67-year-old Lopes-Romero, was pronounced dead while en route to the hospital.
Moreover, the fatal two-vehicle crash on Highway 86 is under active investigation. Additional details will be updated as they become available to the public.
