Nissan Driver Pronounced Dead after 2-Vehicle Rollover Collision near Leviathan Mine Road

RENO, NV (January 13, 2023) – Early Saturday morning, Paul Simpson was involved in a two-car crash that claimed the life of Kevin Skogmo.

The auto accident took place along the southbound lanes of of US 395 near Leviathan Mine Road on December 16th.

According to reports, Simpson was driving south in a black 2018 GMC Sierra K2500 Denali when he veered onto the centerline. There, the GMC struck an oncoming 2019 Nissan Rogue head-on.

Upon impact, the Nissan overturned before coming to rest alongside the road.

Responding officers arrived and declared the driver of the Nissan, Skogmo, of Gardnerville dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the GMC driver, Simpson, remained and cooperated with the authorities.

At this time, further information leading up to the deadly collision is still under active investigation.
