23-Year-Old Woman Dies in Head-On Collision near Pinnacle Peak Road

PHOENIX, AZ (January 9, 2023) – Sunday afternoon, a multi-car crash on Cave Creek Road claimed the life of Sarah Warren. 

The accident happened around 4:17 p.m., along Cave Creek Road and Pinnacle Peak Road. 

According to reports, Warren was driving north on Cave Creek, which is currently under construction and merges into one lane. For reasons unknown, Warren collided with another vehicle traveling north at the merge point.

Upon impact, Warren’s vehicle veered into a raised median and into the southbound lanes before eventually striking a truck towing a travel trailer. Shortly after, a fourth southbound vehicle collided with Warren’s vehicle.

Responding officers arrived and declared 23-year-old Warren dead at the scene. 

Meanwhile, police assessed and processed the male driver of the truck pulling the travel trailer for DUI before releasing him.

Authorities did not release any additional information at this time. However, the cause of the accident and the factors involved remain under investigation.
