22-Year-Old Petaluma Man Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash near Hicks Valley Road

MARIN COUNTY, CA (December 19, 2022) – Saturday afternoon, a two-vehicle crash on Point Reyes-Petaluma Road killed Miles Walter Kintz. 

The collision happened on December 10th, at around 1:22 p.m. near the intersection of Point Reyes-Petaluma Road and Hicks Valley Road. 

According to reports, Kintz, in a 2000 Subaru Impreza was heading southbound when his vehicle veered into the opposite lane. There, it collided with a northbound 1999 Honda Accord. The impact of the crash caused severe damage to both vehicles. Investigators state that inclement weather may have been a factor in the crash.

First responders arrived shortly after and pronounced 22-year-old Miles Walter Kintz of Petaluma dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the 58-year-old Honda driver from Olema suffered from significant non-life-threatening injuries. Paramedics transported them to a local hospital for treatment.
