Female Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run near Thomas Road

PHOENIX, AZ (December 15, 2022) An unidentified woman lost her life Tuesday night, in a pedestrian hit-and-run on 91st Avenue.

The accident took place around 11:00 p.m., near Thomas Road.

According to initial reports, a woman was crossing Thomas Road when she was struck by two westbound vehicles. Upon impact, both drivers fled the scene without contacting authorities.

First responders arrived and pronounced the woman dead at the scene. Her name is currently being withheld, pending notification of next of kin.

Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area of Thomas Road for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. However, the roadway has since reopened.

At this time, an active investigation is still currently underway.
