3-Year-Old Boy Injured in Speeding Collision near Sunset Avenue
ROCKLIN, CA (December 16, 2022) – Thursday afternoon, a rollover crash along Highway 65 left a young boy with serious injuries.
The accident happened around 3:30 p.m., near Sunset Avenue in the Rocklin area.
According to a witness, a speeding driver swerved around traffic along the dirt side of the road to pass other vehicles. However, the vehicle went airborne and flipped several times, landing 200-300 feet off the roadway and into a ditch.
As a result, the 3-year-old boy and the 42-year-old driver inside the vehicle sustained unspecified injuries. Investigators say the child was properly restrained.
Medics arrived and transported the young boy and the driver to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
