Unidentified Victim Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Collision near D Street
PERRIS, CA (December 13, 2022) – Wednesday evening, one unidentified victim was pronounced dead after a pedestrian crash on Interstate 215.
The deadly collision happened around 6:45 p.m., near the D Street exit ramp from southbound I-215.
According to the Sheriff’s Department, a pedestrian crossed D Street as a vehicle exited the freeway and entered the two-lane corridor. Investigators said the driver failed to stop on time and fatally struck the individual crossing the roadway.
At this time, the identity of the deceased pedestrian remains undisclosed, pending notification of the next of kin.
Meanwhile, the involved 37-year-old driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the deputies.
