Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Tractor-Trailer on 5 Freeway
LOS ANGELES, CA (December 6, 2022) – Early Thursday morning, one pedestrian was killed following a hit-and-run crash near Mission Road.
The fatal incident happened on December 1st, at around 3:30 a.m., involving a pedestrian and a tractor-trailer.
According to reports, the driver of a tractor trailer struck a pedestrian who was walking in the area. Following the collision, the driver continued southbound on the freeway without rendering aid to the injured victim.
Upon arrival, first responders located the pedestrian on the southbound freeway on-ramp.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, officials later pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet confirmed their identity.
At this time, police are continuing to investigate the hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Mission Road. Those with further information are encouraged to contact California Highway Patrol as soon as possible.
