30-Year-Old Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Katella Avenue

ANAHEIM, CA (November 29, 2022) – Early Saturday, Rick Dale Moore was fatally struck in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Magnolia Street.

According to police, 30-year-old Moore was walking south on Magnolia Street inside a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a speeding vehicle on Katella Avenue.

Upon impact, the driver fled the scene without rendering aid or contacting authorities.

Medical personnel arrived shortly after and pronounced 30-year-old Moore dead at the scene.

Officers later described the suspect vehicle as an older-model dark-colored vehicle, possibly a Chevrolet. Emergency crews closed down the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties.

At this time, police are seeking any help from the public to track down the suspect.
