Plane Accident near Hargrave Street Left One Person Dead

BANNING, CA (November 29, 2022) – Tuesday evening, a fiery plane crash on 10 Freeway claimed the life of one person. 

The fatal incident happened around 6:24 p.m. near Hargrave Street and Malki Road, east of Banning Municipal Airport. 

According to Cal Fire, a single-engine plane crashed in some brush off the freeway for reasons under investigation. 

Responding fire units said there was only one person inside the aircraft at the time of the accident. 

Unfortunately, officials declared the pilot dead at the scene. However, their identity remains undisclosed to the public pending notification from the next of kin. 

Banning Officials shut down train operations moving throughout the area as crews clear out the scene. 

Currently, the Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the 10 Freeway plane crash.
