Vinny Blair Dies in Solo-Car Accident on Highway 17 [Santa Cruz, CA]
18-Year-Old Passenger Killed in Single-Vehicle Collision near Highway 1
SANTA CRUZ, CA (November 28, 2022) – Sunday, Vinny Blair was pronounced dead following a solo-car accident on Highway 17.
For reasons under investigation, the driver of a vehicle veered off the northbound lanes of the road near Highway 1. As a result, the vehicle struck a metal guardrail causing the driver and passenger to suffer serious injuries.
Emergency crews arrived and transported both occupants to a nearby hospital. There, 18-year-old Blair, of Aptos was pronounced dead three days after the crash.
Following preliminary duties, the 20-year-old male driver from Watsonville was not arrested. At this time, further events leading up to the incident are still under investigation.
