26-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck near Severin Drive
LA MESA, CA (November 22, 2022) – Late Friday morning, a man died in an accident involving a big rig on Interstate 8.
The deadly incident happened shortly just before 11:00 a.m. in the area of Severin Drive in La Mesa.
According to the investigators, a man exited a moving Audi A4 while it was traveling along Interstate 8 near Grossmont Center mall. After the man fell out of the car he was hit by a tractor-trailer leaving him with fatal injuries. Medics later declared the man dead at the scene.
Both vehicles came to a stop about a quarter-mile down the road and cooperated with authorities.
At this time, the identity of the deceased person and the other people involved remains undisclosed to the public.
