Three Dead, Three Injured after Two-Car Crash near Lone Cactus Drive
PEORIA, AZ (November 21, 2022)– Sunday evening, a two-car crash on 107th Avenue left Elizabeth Simpson, Jace Hochstetler, and one teen dead.
The incident happened on November 20th, at around 9:00 p.m. near the intersection of 107th Avenue and Lone Cactus Drive.
According to reports, a Jeep SUV was traveling in the southbound lanes when it struck a Mazda that was making a left turn from Lone Cactus Drive. The impact of the collision caused the occupants of both vehicles to sustain injuries.
Emergency crews arrived shortly after and pronounced 36-year-old Elizabeth Simpson of Glendale and 31-year-old Jace Hochstetler of Phoenix dead at the scene. Medics then transported four children who were in the Mazda to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries. Later, at the hospital, one of the children, a 14-year-old girl, succumbed to her injuries. Two of the other children sustained life-threatening injuries and one other had minor injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Jeep sustained minor injuries. Medics transported him to a local hospital as well.
