2 Teens Pronounced Dead after Head-On Accident on State Route 87 [Pinal County, AZ]
Two Killed in U-Haul Truck Collision near Baptist Church Road
PINAL COUNTY, AZ (November 14, 2022) – Monday afternoon, two teens were pronounced dead after a head-on accident on State Route 87.
First responders arrived to the scene around 4:00 a.m., near Baptist Church Road on November 7th.
For reasons under investigation, the female driver of a vehicle with two teenage passengers veered into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a U-Haul truck. Another truck traveling behind the U-Haul also became involved.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, two teenager passengers inside the wrong-way vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics transported the female driver to a nearby hospital.
Following preliminary investigations, it was unclear if impairment played a factor in the collision. Once available, more details will be provided.
