2 Injured in Vehicle Accident on State Route 17 [San Jose, CA]
Traffic Collision near Redwood Estates Left Two Hurt Including One Police Officer
SAN JOSE, CA (November 10, 2022) – Tuesday afternoon, police responded to a vehicle accident on State Route 17 that injured two people.
The crash happened on November 8th at about 12:34 p.m., just north of Redwood Estates.
Investigators say a police officer was near the driver’s side door of his vehicle after responding to another call. Then, a woman lost control of her vehicle and struck the officer as he was getting back into the driver’s side of the vehicle.
Furthermore, paramedics transported the police officer and the driver to the hospital for treatment of various injuries.
Following preliminary duties, alcohol or drugs were not considered as a potential factor in the crash. At this time, an active investigation is still currently underway.
