74-Year-Old Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident near Sims Street
BANNING, CA (November 9, 2022) – Sunday night, a 74-year-old man was fatally struck in a pedestrian hit-and-run on West Wilson Street.
The incident happened on October 16th, at around 7:12 p.m., at the intersection of West Wilson and Sims Street.
According to a witness, the driver of a westbound white vehicle, either a full-size truck or an SUV, hit a man walking on the side of the road. The involved driver then drove away, failing to render aid to the injured victim.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, responding units declared the 74-year-old man dead at the scene. However, his name remains undisclosed pending notification of next of kin.
