14-Year-Old Boy Dies in Bicycle Accident near Conway Avenue
TEHACHAPI, CA (November 8, 2022) – Monday afternoon, a bicycle crash on Tucker Road claimed the life of Kaeden Marsalis Duncan Averrios-Smith.
The incident happened near the 500 block of Tucker Road around 4:00 p.m., on October 24th.
According to reports, the boy was riding his bicycle on the sidewalk when he went directly into the path of a pickup-truck exiting the parking lot. The driver of the pickup-truck did not notice the boy and struck him.
Responding medics arrived and rushed the boy to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Police identified the victim as 14-year-old Kaeden Marsalis Duncan Averrios-Smith.
Following preliminary duties, police officials did not consider alcohol or illegal substances as a factor in the accident.
Furthermore, the loved ones of Kaeden made a GoFundMe page to help with the costs during this difficult time.
