Sixto Cervantes Pronounced Dead after Head-On Collision on Interstate 5 [Sacramento, CA]
21-Year-Old Victim Fatally Struck in Two-Vehicle Crash near Hood Franklin Road
SACRAMENTO, CA (November 4, 2022) – Tuesday, a head-on collision on Interstate 5 near Elk Grove claimed the life of 21-year-old Sixto Cervantes.
The deadly crash occurred along northbound Interstate 5, just south of Hood Franklin Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2014 Nissan going north crossed over the Interstate’s center median, for reasons unknown.
As a result, the Nissan collided head-on with a southbound GMC truck, causing the Nissan to spin out of control and eject the driver.
Tragically, the 21-year-old driver sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the 38-year-old GMC driver from Lodi sustained significant injuries.
Later on, the deceased victim was identified as 21-year-old Sixto Cervantes.
