Driver Arrested after Pursuit Collision near Bethel Avenue

FRESNO, CA (November 2, 2022) – Monday afternoon, one driver was arrested after a stolen vehicle crash on Highway 99.

Dispatchers responded to the scene around 12:00 p.m., on October 31st when the driver of stolen vehicle refused to pull over for a traffic stop.

Police chased the driver until the suspect struck another vehicle and a box-truck that was hauling furniture. Upon impact, the box-truck overturned near the center median by Bethel Avenue.

After the collision, four people tried to run away but the driver was later located and arrested by officers. However, the three other involved people were not caught and are still wanted by the police.

Meanwhile, responding medical crews treated the two other involved drivers at the scene.

No other information was provided and further investigation is still ongoing.
