Car Accident on 91 Freeway Resulted in One Fatality
BELLFLOWER, CA (November 1, 2022) – Early Saturday, a car accident on Artesia Freeway claimed the life of Vernon Acampora and left two others injured.
Medical personnel responded to the incident around 3:17 a.m. along eastbound 91 at Bellflower Boulevard off-ramp.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a crash occurred involving a black sedan that stalled in the middle lane.
Tragically, responding officials declared one man dead at the scene. Later, the coroner’s office identified the victim as 55-year-old Vernon Acampora.
Paramedics also transported two people to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
In the end, the California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert at 5:07 a.m. after officials closed the eastbound lanes.
