Elderly Man Pronounced Dead after Rollover Accident on Highway 99 [Merced County, CA]
Rollover Crash near Franklin Road Left San Diego Man Dead
MERCED COUNTY, CA (October 24, 2022) – Wednesday afternoon, a rollover accident on Highway 99 claimed the life of one elderly man.
The deadly incident occurred just before 2 p.m., along northbound Highway 99 near Franklin Road, north of Merced.
According to the CHP, a vehicle veered off the road for unknown reasons, causing the vehicle to rollover several times.
Unfortunately, the 67-year-old driver from San Diego died at the scene. Although, his identity remains undisclosed, pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, his 41-year-old passenger sustained moderate injuries and was hospitalized for further treatment.
No other details regarding the Highway 99 rollover accident have been released to the public. Merced County Officials will provide more information once available.
