Driver Wanted after Fatal Pedestrian Crash near Federal Boulevard

SAN DIEGO, CA (October 21, 2022) – Early Tuesday morning, one person was killed in a hit-and-run collision on State Route 94.

The fatality happened around 12:50 a.m. along the eastbound lanes of State Route 94 near Federal Boulevard.

According to reports, a man was walking along the freeway when a vehicle struck him. The impact of the collision left the pedestrian with serious injuries. Following the collision, the driver of the involved vehicle left the area without rendering aid to the victim.

When first responders arrived at the site of the crash they pronounced the victim dead at the scene. At this time, officials have not released the identity of the deceased man. Meanwhile, San Diego officials are asking anyone with information about the State Route 94 hit-and-run to contact local authorities as soon as possible.
