Man Arrested after Pursuit Accident on Stockdale Highway [Bakersfield, CA]
Multiple Injured in Pursuit Collision near Ashe Road
BAKERSFIELD, CA (October 28, 2022) – Tuesday afternoon, one man was arrested after a pursuit accident on Stockdale Highway.
The incident occurred around 7:50 p.m., just west of Ashe Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, officers attempted to pull over a speeding gray Dodge. However, the Dodge driver fled at a high rate of speed while in-pursuit officers stopped for safety reasons.
Shortly after, the suspect crashed into at least three vehicles along Ming Avenue and Ashe Road. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.
In the end, the 21-year-old driver was arrested for multiple charges. Authorities reported a person who sustained minor injuries and another driver who was released at the scene.
Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties before it was later reopened.
