Two Men Dead after Big-Rig Collision near Gun Club Road
BUTTONWILLOW, CA (October 17, 2022) – Damian Eden Orpineda Villanueva and Alejandro Orpineda Olivas died in an accident on Highway 46.
The incident happened on October 5th, just east of Gun Club Road.
According to reports, the events leading up to the collision remain unclear. However, officers say they located a Toyota stuck underneath two semi-trucks in the area.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced 23-year-old Villanueva and 21-year-old Olivas dead at the scene.
Both directions of the roadway were temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
No further information was provided; however, an active investigation into the fatal semi-truck collision on Highway 46 is currently underway.
