One Killed, One Airlifted after Two-Vehicle Collision near Highway 132

MODESTO, CA (October 14, 2022)Kathryn Pearce was killed and Dilpreet Thiara was injured in a 2-car accident on McCracken Road.

The incident occurred around 10:24 p.m, near Highway 132 on Thursday night.

Officers say Pearce was driving a Toyota Prius when she failed to stop for a posted stop sign. As a result, she collided with a westbound Nissan Frontier, driven by 23-year-old Thiara, of Manteca.

Medics arrived and airlifted Thiara to Memorial Medical Center for further treatment. Meanwhile, crews pronounced 63-year-old Pearce dead at the scene.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further details is still underway.
