51-Year-Old Man, 23-Year-Old Woman Hurt in Car Crash near Kearny Villa Road

KEARNY MESA, CA (October 14, 2022) – Early Friday morning, a crash on Balboa Avenue left a man and a woman injured.

Authorities responded to the scene just before 1:00 a.m., near Kearny Villa Road on October 7th.

The collision involved a white Toyota Rav4 and a Hyundai Elantra.

According to reports, the Rav4, driven by a 23-year-old woman, and headed south on Kearny Villa Road. She entered the intersection and there collided with the Elantra, driven by a 51-year-old man, traveling east.

The male occupant suffered major injuries that were not life-threatening. Meanwhile, the woman sustained wrist injuries. Medics transported both drivers to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Following preliminary duties, police believe that impairment played a factor in the collision.

After being treated for her injuries, the woman was arrested and booked to Las Colinas with DUI charges.
