1 Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Interstate 280 [San Jose, CA]
Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Collision near Highway 101
SAN JOSE, CA (October 12, 2022) – Early Saturday morning, one victim was killed in a pedestrian crash on Interstate 280.
The incident happened around 1:00 a.m., near southbound Highway 101.
According to reports, the driver of a southbound car struck a man on the highway. However, further events leading up to the collision remain unclear.
Medical personnel arrived and transported the male victim to a nearby hospital for further treatment of life-threatening injuries. Due to the extent of his condition, crews later pronounced the pedestrian dead at the hospital.
Meanwhile, officers issued a SigAlert in the area at 1:22 a.m., until around 3:02 a.m.
At this time, an active investigation to determine further details is still currently underway. Once available, more information will be released about the pedestrian crash on Interstate 280.
