Traffic Accident near Desert Foothills Drive Left 2 Seriously Wounded
PHOENIX, AZ (October 13, 2022) – Early Sunday morning, a two-vehicle collision on Loop 202 left two people injured, police said.
The incident happened on the 9th of October near Desert Foothills Drive at around 1:00 a.m.
According to police, they received reports about a wrong-way crash involving a Chevy Silverado and a Dodge Ram.
The initial report stated that the Chevy was heading eastbound when it collided head-on with the Dodge driving in the HOV lane.
Furthermore, the officers found two people with serious injuries who were both transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Moreover, both directions of the roadway were temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
It is not yet known if impairment played a role in the crash. Further investigations are still ongoing.
