Victim Killed in Auto Collision near Cedar Avenue

BLOOMINGTON, CA (October 7, 2022) – One person was pronounced dead following a car accident on Interstate 10, early Sunday.

According to initial reports, the fatal incident happened around 2:00 a.m., along the eastbound lanes of the freeway just east of Cedar Avenue. 

At this time, the events leading up to the crash and the total number of parties involved remains unknown. Authorities are currently launching an ongoing investigation into the fatal collision. 

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medical responders pronounced one person dead at the scene. However, their identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.

A large portion of the roadway was temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

No further details regarding the fatal accident on Interstate 10 have been released to the public; however, Bloomington Officials will provide more information once available.
