Vehicle Accident near Avenue 152 Resulted in Fatality

TULARE, CA (October 3, 2022) – Wednesday afternoon, an unidentified woman lost her life after a multi-car crash on Highway 43.

The accident occurred just after 4:00 p.m. along Highway 43, near Avenue 152.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the woman was heading north on the 43 when she drifted into the southbound lane and collided with another vehicle. Following that, a third vehicle t-boned her vehicle.

Responding officers arrived at the site of the collision shortly after and pronounced the woman dead at the scene. At this time, authorities are withholding her identity pending notification of next of kin.

Meanwhile, paramedics transported two injured people from the third vehicle to the hospital.

Officials have not stated whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. However, an active investigation is underway.
