Two Hurt in Motorcycle Collision near Main Street

JAMESTOWN, CA (September 26, 2022) – Friday afternoon, Alenso Torres and Magdalena Torres were injured in a motorcycle crash.

The incident happened shortly after 12:00 p.m., near Main Street on September 23rd. According to initial reports, 15 motorcycles were heading north on Main Street led by 43-year-old Jonathan Gutierrez.

Investigators say Gutierrez was riding a 2016 Harley Davidson motorcycle and attempted to turn right in the eastbound lane.

There, 55-year-old Alenso Torres, stepped on the gas, causing the front tire to go airborne. As a result, Alenso struck the ride side of the motorcycle operated by Guitierrez.

The impact ejected Alenso and Magdalena onto the road, where they sustained various injuries. Meanwhile, Gutierrez remained uninjured.

Following preliminary investigations, police did not suspect that drugs or alcohol were a potential factor. At this time, an active investigation is underway.

To prevent motor vehicle accidents, stay alert and drive defensively. When crossing a busy intersection, exercise due caution. Always activate your turn signal or blinker before making any turns. Be aware of your blind spots and pull into the roadway slowly. If you are turning in a road where there is no dedicated left-turn signal or lane, be patient and make sure there is no obstruction to your view.
