2 Dead after Single-Car Accident near Hood Franklin Road
SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (September 26, 2022) – Early Tuesday morning, Muhammad Suleman and Ahmad Ziab were killed in a rollover crash.
Police responded to the scene around 12:15 a.m., near Hood Franklin Road.
According to reports, the driver of a 2006 Toyota Camry lost control due to wet road conditions and veered off the shoulder. As a result, the Camry overturned multiple times, cartwheeling at least once.
In addition, the impact ejected two occupants from the vehicle. The left rear passenger was the only occupant left inside, and officers say they managed to get out and contact 911 for help.
Medics arrived and pronounced the passenger, 20-year-old Suleman dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics transported the driver, 21-year-old Ziab, of Elk Grove to nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Moreover, two other male passengers from the vehicle sustained significant injuries. Although, authorities have not yet released their identities.
At this time, Sacramento County Officials are still working to determine further circumstances surrounding the collision.
