Roads Reopened after Two-Vehicle Crash near Black Road
SANTA MARIA, CA (September 29, 2022) – At least two people sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 1 Thursday morning.
The incident happened around 4:43 a.m. near Ray Road, 7 miles north of Black Road.
California Highway Patrol stated that a Toyota Prius driver collided with a farm tractor for reasons still not known, leaving major damages to the Prius.
Paramedics said one person sustained minor injuries while another sustained severe injuries. After which, they transported both victims to Marian Regional Medical Center for treatment of unspecified.
Furthermore, the crash closed multiple southbound traffic lanes along Highway 1 for an extended period of time as crews cleared the wreckage. Police have not released the identities of any of the involved parties at this time.
Authorities did not considered drugs or alcohol to be factors in the multi-vehicle crash on Highway 1, however, an active investigation is currently underway.
