Man Fatally Struck in Deadly Collision near South Watts Avenue

SACRAMENTO, CA (September 21, 2022) – Early Monday morning, one man was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Fruitridge Road.

Authorities responded to the scene around 3:30 a.m., near South Watts Avenue.

Per reports, the driver of a vehicle struck a man in the area under unknown circumstances. Upon impact, the driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the severely injured victim.

Medical personnel arrived shortly after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area. Due to the extent of his condition, medics pronounced the male victim dead at the scene.

Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. At this time, authorities have not released the identity of the deceased victim.
