Driver Wanted after Fatal Bakersfield Hit-and-Run Crash
BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 14, 2022) – Sunday night, a hit-and-run crash on P Street claimed the life of Santiago Espinoza Aldana.
The incident happened at around 8:44 p.m. near the 700 block of P Street.
According to reports, Aldana was walking in the area when he was struck by a black sedan that was speeding along the road. The impact of the collision left Aldana with critical injuries. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and render aid to the victim and instead fled the scene.
Emergency crews arrived shortly after and transported Aldana to Kern Medical for treatment. Despite life-saving efforts, 52-year-old Santiago Espinoza Aldana died at the hospital the following Monday.
