George King Dead after Crash on E Avenue [Hesperia, CA]
75-Year-Old Man Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash near Hercules Street
HESPERIA, CA (September 13, 2022) – Friday evening, a two-vehicle collision claimed the life of George King and injured Jesse Lawrence.
The incident happened on September 9th, at about 9:12 p.m. Officers were dispatched to a crash involving a 2016 Kia Soul and a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer.
According to police, the Chevrolet and the Kia were both traveling northbound. For reasons currently unknown, the Kia struck the rear of the Chevrolet causing a rollover. The impact of the collision left King, the passenger in the Chevrolet, with critical injuries.
Emergency crews arrived at the site of the crash shortly after and pronounced 75-year-old George King of Hesperia dead at the scene. Meanwhile, medics transported the driver of the Kia, 24-year-old Jesse Lawrence of Apple Valley, to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
