31-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies in Fatal Accident near Salinas Street

SANTA BARBARA, CA (September 5, 2022) – Wednesday morning, Joshua Latham was fatally struck in a motorcycle crash on Highway 101.

Police responded to the scene around 10:00 a.m., just south of Salinas Street on August 31st.

According to reports, Latham was weaving in and out of lanes on a Yamaha motorcycle at a high rate of speed. Latham then crashed into the back of a Honda CRV, ejecting him from his motorcycle onto the road.

Officers arrived at the scene shortly after and pronounced 31-year-old Latham dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the 61-year-old female driver from Ojai suffered no injuries.

Emergency crews closed the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Once available, further details will be provided.
