Driver and Passenger Injured Following Solo-Car Crash on Point Loma Avenue
SAN DIEGO, CA (August 30, 2022) – Friday evening, a solo-car crash on Point Loma Avenue left two individuals with injuries.
The incident occurred around 11: 21 p.m., on August 12th, near Santa Barbara Street.
According to the CHP, a 41-year-old woman, driving a Subaru sedan southbound on Point Loma at high speeds, attempted to turn westbound on Santa Barbara Street and collided with a tree.
When paramedics arrived, the driver, who had not been wearing a seatbelt before the crash, was taken to the hospital with an open fracture to her right ankle. According to police, the driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries but needed medical attention. Meanwhile, the passenger, who was wearing a seatbelt, only complained of pain.
