Two Police Officers Hurt in Pursuit of Stolen Vehicle on South Union Avenue
BAKERSFIELD, CA (August 25, 2022) – Saturday morning, two officers sustained injuries in a pursuit collision on Highway 58.
The crash happened around 11:33 a.m., near South Union Avenue on August 20th.
According to reports, police were chasing a stolen vehicle on Highway 58 when one officer lost control of their vehicle and struck a tree.
The driver of the police vehicle needed extrication and suffered moderate injuries while the passenger officer only sustained minor wounds. Although, authorities have not yet released their identities.
The stolen vehicle was later found but the suspect still remains at large.
