Motorcyclist Dead after Solo-Vehicle Crash near Cascade Crossing Road
NEVADA COUNTY, CA (August 22, 2022) – A motorcycle crash on Combie Road claimed the life of Donald Foley.
The incident happened at around 5:35 p.m. near the intersection of Combie Road and Cascade Crossing Road.
According to police, Foley was riding on his Harley Davidson Sportster at a high rate of speed when he failed to negotiate a turn and the vehicle left the roadway. Foley was ejected from the bike and hit some rocks before his motorcycle landed on top of him. Due to the impact of the collision, Foley sustained serious injuries.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the site of the crash, but despite life-saving efforts, 61-year-old Foley was pronounced dead, due to the extent of his injuries.
