Woman Dead after Head-On Collision on Powerhouse Road
FALL RIVER MILLS, CA (August 18, 2022) – Saturday, Jose Ramirez and Vincent Ramirez were involved in a fatal crash on Highway 299.
The incident happened on August 13th, at around 5:00 a.m., on Highway 299 near Pit No. 1 Powerhouse Road.
According to Fall River Mills Police, the accident involved a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt driven by a woman and a 2014 Peterbilt Truck Tractor occupied by 26-year-old Jose Ramirez and 50-year-old Vincent Ramirez.
Investigators state that the woman crossed double yellow lines and struck the tractor that was towing an unloaded flatbed trailer. The impact of the collision left the woman with severe injuries, and she died at the scene.
At this time, police are withholding her identity pending notification of next of kin. Officials have not identified alcohol as a factor in the crash.
