Nyabonj Kuajachol Lual Killed in Pedestrian Collision on Pima Street [Tucson, AZ]

77-Year-Old Pedestrian Fatally Struck near North Catalina Avenue

TUCSON, AZ (August 18, 2022) – Monday night, Nyabonj Kuajachol Lual was killed in a pedestrian collision on Pima Street.

The incident occurred around 8:00 p.m., near North Catalina Avenue on August 15th.

Per reports, Lual was crossing the street from north to south when the driver of a passing vehicle struck her. Emergency crews arrived to the scene and found the woman unresponsive in the roadway.

Medics quickly transported her to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead. Authorities identified the deceased victim as 77-year-old Lual.

Furthermore, a large portion of the roadway was temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. In addition, Tucson Police stated the involved driver fled the initial collision.
