Four Injured, One Hospitalized in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Vanowen Street [Reseda, CA]

Traffic Collision on Vanowen Street near White Oak Avenue Left One Hospitalized

RESEDA, CA (August 18, 2022) – Friday evening, four people were injured, one was hospitalized in a multi-vehicle crash on Vanowen Street.

The collision happened on August 4th, at around 11:08 p.m., along Vanowen Street near White Oak Avenue and Encino Avenue.

According to reports, a SUV was speeding when it struck a utility pole, a business, and several other vehicles. It then crashed through a fence and rolled over trapping the driver inside.

Emergency officials arrived at the scene shortly after and extricated the trapped driver from the vehicle. They also treated three other people that had been injured in the crash. Medics then rushed the driver of the SUV to a local trauma center with serious injuries.

Authorities currently withheld their identity pending the notification of kin.

Meanwhile, two other individuals at the scene refused any medical attention.

At this time, it is unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. However, an active investigation is underway.
