34-Year-Old Man Dead after Single-Vehicle Collision near Highway 78

ESCONDIDO, CA (August 1, 2022) – Friday night, Luis Miguel Sanabria Rosas was killed and another injured in a car accident on San Pasqual Valley Road.

The incident occurred at the 18500 block of San Pasqual Valley Road around 7:15 p.m. Emergency crews responded to the scene near Highway 78 on July 22nd.

According to reports, Rosas was driving a 2009 Honda Civic when he lost control of his vehicle while attempting to negotiate a left-hand curve. Consequently, the vehicle veered off the road and collided with a large boulder.

34-year-old Rosas died from the collision while medics took his passenger, a man in his 40s, to a nearby hospital with internal injuries. Although, authorities have not yet released their identities.

At this time, officers said intoxication might have contributed to the fatal crash. However, an active investigation is still currently underway.
